Asbestos
Working with asbestos requires having the right personal protective equipment to protect against the dangerous asbestos fibers. Asbestos must not be inhaled, as the fibers can cause severe damage especially to the lungs and stomach. The fibers cannot be broken down by the body, making asbestos very harmful to health.
Protection for working with asbestos:
• Respiratory protection: It is recommended to use motorized respirators with a tight-fitting mask. For short-term and less dusty tasks, a half-mask with P3 filter can be used.
• Disposable suit: For dusty work Type 5/6. The suit must be tight at the ankles, neck, and wrists.
• Gloves: It is recommended to use completely tight gloves
• Glasses: It is recommended to use goggles
• Warning sign: ‘Asbestos’
