otto schachner nordic was founded in Copenhagen in 1946. Our founder, Otto Schachner, started with a passion for manufacturing protective gloves – a passion that quickly made the company one of Denmark's leading producers of work gloves.
Since then, we have developed into a complete supplier of personal protective equipment (PPE). Today, we work closely with customers across Scandinavia and Europe, providing solutions that protect people in their daily work.
The story in brief
1946: Founded in Copenhagen – focusing on gloves for professional use.
1968: First partnership in China, which still holds significance today.
1985: Expansion to the entire range of personal safety equipment.
2010: Acquired by CERVA Group – one of Europe's largest PPE players.
2016: New headquarters in Fredericia with 4,000 m² warehouse and showroom.
2016-2022: Establishment in Finland, Germany, and Sweden.
2022: Acquisition of BJ Special Training – strengthened focus on training and education.
